Since the summer of 2014 I've been recording my travels in this journal/scrapbook. It is really bad quality paper (I have to glue every other page together to avoid bleed-throughs) and frankly it is not very pretty either, but I have grown very fond of it, exclusively because of the memories in it. This latest two-page entry is from my trip to France this summer with my friend Madeline. Although it can be very time consuming I find it very valuable to be able to sit down and think of where you were and what you experienced while you were away from home. Often, so many thing happen when you travel that you forget half of it in a week, and this, I find, is a good way to refreshen the memories.
Here is a spread I did for my trip to Bali with my family in the Easter of 2016. I like to use fonts and typography that has the same "feel" as the place itself.
I made a video over on my Youtube channel showing you how I usually go about creating these pages. It is the first video I've ever done with my own voice in it, and although it was kinda scary at first, it is probably the one I'm most proud of yet. So if you would like to check that out, the video is right here:
Thanks for reading! I hope to see you again soon.
