The nights are getting longer and darker and the colours of autumn are fading away. I thought I'd share some shots from a cold, autumn afternoon with my friend Madeline.

We found the most beautiful red berries that happened to watch Madeline's coat perfectly, so naturally, I asked her to lay in the middle of the bed with them.

The woods were full of bright leaves and trees, but on our long walk we found a hill overlooking a field on the top. We got there just in time for a beautiful sunset over the field.

I especially like the warmth in this image above. It feels like we're desperately trying to hold on to the last rays of sun as they disapear beneath the horizon. One might fear never seeing them again as the nights grow longer and days get shorter. Every time the sun sets it's like saying goodbye to a dear friend you may not see again for a long time, and each sunrise lift a stone from your heart and gives you that extra bit of light you so desperately crave.

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for a holiday themed post and video soon.
